Privacy Policy
Effective October 1, 2026
Appointment texts are not active yet. They are waiting on phone-carrier approval. The texting rules below apply once the program is available. Website, booking and confirmation emails work today; reminder emails are coming soon.
The short version: we collect only what’s needed to book and look after your appointment, we never sell it, and we never share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for marketing.
Who we are
StylistDesk is a Kamforge company. It makes websites with online booking for hairdressers, stylists and salons. This policy covers stylistdesk.com and every booking website we make and run for a stylist or salon (we call them “booking sites”). It is provided by StylistDesk, operated by Kamforge LLC, a Texas limited liability company. “We”, “us” and “our” mean StylistDesk and Kamforge LLC.
When you opt in on a booking site, StylistDesk is the sender of your appointment texts, on behalf of the stylist or salon you booked with.
What we collect
When you book on a booking site, you give us:
- your name;
- your mobile number;
- your email address, if you choose to add it;
- your appointment details: the service, the date and time, and any note you leave for your stylist;
- whether you chose to get appointment texts, with the date and time you chose, the wording you agreed to, the page you were on, and your IP address (our proof of your choice).
Deposits are being built and are not available today. Once available, if a stylist takes a deposit, you pay it on a secure page run by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
When you text or email us, we get your number or email address and whatever you write.
When you visit any of our sites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you asked for, to keep the sites running and secure. stylistdesk.com uses no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
How we use it
- to book, confirm, change or cancel your appointment, and to put it on your stylist’s calendar;
- to email you about your booking, if you gave us your email address;
- to text you about your booking, only if you checked the box to get texts (see our Texting Terms);
- to answer you when you contact us;
- to keep our sites working, secure and free of abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
We send no marketing or promotional texts, and we don’t use your information to advertise to you. We send at most 3 texts per booking: a confirmation, one reminder the day before, and a notice if your appointment is changed or cancelled.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with the stylist or salon you booked with, so they can take care of your appointment;
- with service providers that help us run StylistDesk, such as website hosting, calendar, email, text messaging and payment processing. They may use it only to provide their service to us;
- when the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety or our rights.
We never share or sell your mobile number or your text opt-in consent to any third party or affiliate for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors that support our service, such as the text messaging provider that delivers our texts, is permitted. All other uses exclude text messaging opt-in data and consent: this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
Booking information (your name, mobile number, email and appointment details) is kept while we run the booking site for your stylist, and until you ask us to delete it.
Text records are different. We keep a record of your text opt-in and any opt-out for 4 years, even after a deletion request, so we can prove we honored your choice and never text a number that has opted out. They are not used for anything else.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop getting them, or email us. Reply HELP for help. Texts are never required to book.
- Your information: to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email us at the address below with “Privacy request” in the subject line and the name and mobile number you booked with. We’ll answer within 45 days. We may need to confirm it’s you first.
- Do Not Track: we don’t track you across other websites, so there is nothing to switch off.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we limit who can see it. No website is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think something is wrong.
Children
Our sites are not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
